REPORT 2008
During 2008 Romaian Division of IAP was in a continuing process of reorganisation.
The new Coordinating Comitee is the following:

For each main region of the country, defined around a main medical universitary center there are Regional Responsibles:

- Doina Mihaila MD
The Division has a functional web site which was communicated to IAP and is already inserted in the IAP web page:

The conditions of being member were clearly established so the members of the division are only pathologists and the system of membership collection was reorganised.
The fees for 2008 were collected, resulting in 85 fee paying members this year.
The international lectures organized in 2008 under the auspices of International Academy of Pathology – Romanian Division (DRAIP) are the following:
1. EuroGynPath 2008, organised between 10-12 April 2008 by University of Medicine and Pharmacy Targu-Mures
2. European School of Pathology - Romanian Branch, organised each year by Department of Pathology of University of Medicine and Pharmacy Craiova www.escop.umfcv.ro
In 2008 the topic was „UPDATE IN GSTROINTESTINAl PATHOLOGY” - 18-21 September, 2008 - Course coordinator, Prof. Fredrik Bosman (Lausanne), Prof. Fatima Carneiro (Porto), Prof. Arzu Ensari (Ankara) and Prof. Karel Geboes (Leuven)
3. UROPATH 2008, organised between 29 September - 05 October 2008 by University of Medicine and Pharmacy Targu-Mures, www.umftgm.ro/uropath/index.htm
4. Pathology of the Digestive System, organized between 6-8 November 2008 by National Institute of Pathology “Victor Babeş” www.pathpathology.ro
